What a blessing it is to be part of THE winning team!

Winners Circle
How mind-blowing is it to know that you are automatically inducted into"The Winners Circle,"when you accept that you are born of God. Putting an emphasis on the word "accept."Winning shouldn't only be something you experience when you've conquered something specifically. Being a winner should be an identity we take on as God's chosen people. I believe that once you accept that you were created by a winner, to be a winner, winning will seem more of a lifestyle as opposed to an experience as you navigate through life. If we come out first, we win and if we come out last, we win!
“For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world--- our faith." - 1 John 5:4 (NKJV)
Winners Mindset
As a young, Christian millennial, continuing to make the choice to have a winners mindset can be extremely challenging. There are so many outside influences that can and often do play with our minds and how we view ourselves. For example, the need to compare ourselves to others, or measure our value off of what others think. We can even sometimes lose our own individuality. Having to constantly copy or imitate other peoples goals, or ideas because you don't believe you can win in the individual things God has called you to. Despite what the influence could be, having identity in being a winner is something we should all strive for.
On this journey, self reflection has been an intricate part in fostering my growth in God. As the old cliche states, "When you know better, you do better." Therefore, a huge part of knowing, is taking the time out to reflect on those things that need to be better. I feel it is extremely important to reflect on my actions daily. I ask myself, how have my actions affected how I view myself and how others may view me? I reflect on the things I say and give life to, the things I think about, as well as the fruits that are and are not being brought forth in the different areas of my life. The Bible tells us that a good tree brings forth good fruit. So in the areas where I consistently lack peace, or I recognize there is a constant negative outcome, reflection brings clarity on whether or not my tree in that area is planted on good soil.
Reflecting daily allows me to hold myself accountable. Holding myself accountable made it easier to understand that as a child of God I don't take losses, I take lessons. Just because I was wrong, or I messed up, or didn't do the right thing doesn't mean I am not a winner. I'm a winner because I can own up to my mistake, repent and ask God to forgive me. I am convinced that if we change our perspective on our trials and tribulations, a winners mindset won't seem too far out of reach. A lot of the trials and tribulations we encounter in our lives are lessons that we must endure in order to operate in the full capacity God has called us to. So it's important to take joy in the baby steps. Take joy in learning through your mistakes. I can admit that sometimes the road blocks on our journey's can be very upsetting maybe even devastating, however, it's important to remember that every delay isn't a denial and that plants need the rain just as much as they need the sun. If it was easy, then any and everybody would have the space and opportunity to do what it is you do.
"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the Earth." - Colossians 3:2
Winning Team
We are a part of THE ULTIMATE winning team. The price of our lives has already been paid for when Jesus died on the cross many years ago. There is not a single trial or tribulation we can encounter that God has not already counted for. We are right where God has called us to be, no matter what that place looks like or feels like. This is what I have to remind myself of when the pressures and expectations of this world attempt to swallow me whole. Despite how the world would like me to feel, to my Father I am valuable, I am worthy, I am capable, I am more than a conqueror, and I am a WINNER!
"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." - Romans 8:37
Application
My hope is that something you've read in this blog has truly inspired you in some way, shape or form. The truth of the matter is, its one thing to invest time into our Bible's, articles, books, shows, podcasts, blogs, and sermons, but it's something so much deeper when we are able to apply what we've learned to our lives. The true measure of how much you are retaining from these sources becomes clear when you are able to implement the knowledge into your daily living. I pray that each person can leave this blog with an understanding that we are winners, and losing isn't an option. It doesn't matter what it looks like, feels like, or seems like, all that matters is what He promised you.
Prayer
Dear God, I come to you as humbly as I know how. God I thank you for being the greatest champion there is. I thank you for conquering all of our battles before we were even formed in our mothers' womb. I ask that you continue to instill a winners mindset in us all. I ask that your conviction arises whenever we are not setting our minds on things above. Purge our spirits from the cares of this world, oh God. We repent for anytime that we have questioned or doubted who and what you have created us to be. We pray for clarity and understanding of who we are in you. Thank you Holy Spirit for creating us to be more than conquerors. Thank you for allowing us in your winners circle. I ask that you continue to guide and cover us on our journey as we continue to Heal, Evolve, and Rise together! AMEN!
